Building a care coordination app and need to test it with actual nurses and caregivers. Problem is they work with real patient data and I can't just ask them to demo our app during their shifts. Fake data testing is pointless. Using "John Doe has diabetes" doesn't capture the complexity of real medical workflows. But getting IRB approval takes forever and we're bootstrapped. Tried recruiting healthcare workers on LinkedIn but they're suspicious of random startups asking to test medical software. Can't blame them. Local clinic wants a massive legal contract just to show them wireframes. Their compliance team treats our mockups like we're asking for access to their entire database. Meanwhile we're building features based on guesses. Pretty sure our medication tracking flow is garbage but no way to validate it with real users. Every other industry you can post on UserTesting and get feedback in hours. Healthcare feels impossible unless you have enterprise connections and legal teams. How does anyone actually validate healthcare UX? Are we missing something obvious or is user research just broken in this space?
