I want to start selling a 3d printed product that is a cassette tape splicer. Long and short of it is if you remember cassette tapes, sometimes you would need to cut the magnetic tape to remove a section and use adhesive splicing tape to join it back together (or you would use Scotch tape, but professionals use dedicated audio splicing tape) Anyway, I'm struggling to find a supplier of the adhesive splicing tape. I was in contact with one in the US (I'm in the EU) and we had a good dialogue going but they haven't replied to my email from 10 days ago with a request to put my first order in. There are some other companies but those haven't even returned my first email or phone calls. Yes, this is a very niche product that is not very popular anymore (to say the least). Although you may be surprised that cassettes are coming back in a big way. Any advice in trying to locate more suppliers? There has to be more than 3 manufactures on planet earth, but I just can't find them. I have asked on other subreddits dedicated to analog audio and nothing really helped. Does anyone know of a better method to find suppliers instead of just googling?
