Hello everyone, I'm opening an athletic apparel store (physical and online store), and I'm running into a location issue. There's a place in a small town (20k people), 20 mins away from a bigger town (250k people). It's great-looking, big, and I can build the customer experience exactly as I envision it. My problem is that the town IS small and some locals tell me they rarely see people from the larger places visit and shop. It's an affluent town, and people are pretty active. On the other hand, there are some pretty limited lease options in the larger town; it's more expensive, and the spaces are small, so I would need to adjust that experience model, but I would be in a much larger market with no serious competition. Everyone tells you location, location, location, and I'm worried about not building enough momentum during the first few years, but I really want to build the store in such a way that it becomes a community thing. I would love to hear y'all's thoughts
