Location: Florida Last week I took my car to get an estimate on a repair for the passenger side window. It has been broken for 7 months and rain water has been leaking in due to the problem. I was told that the window needed a new regulator and that they would have to special order this part. It would cost $1500. I agreed to pay. My problem is that at the time I agreed to pay I was under the impression that the window still didn't work and the repairs were necessary. THIS WAS NOT TRUE. As soon as I got the car home, the window was working. It has been working all weekend. It clearly doesn't need a new regulator. Whatever the mechanic did during the diagnostic fixed the window. I understand that service departments usually refuse refund on special order parts, but I feel like I was mislead and they dealerships was fraudulent in their representation of the situation and am wondering what legal recourse I have.
