I own a small freight brokerage with my wife and we currently have 4 employee's plus our family so 5 total. We looked into group health insurance through ADP our payroll company last year and rates were just completely insane. My wife and I are 36 years old and we have 2 kids, for example our family was going to cost $1800 monthly For the Anthem PPO with a 6k max out of pocket. They had a crazy high deductible option but it was still expensive. We ended up just telling everyone to get on the marketplace and we gave everyone a stipened. I want to check again if there are any options for small business health insurance that is semi affordable or is it just the marketplace. Our marketplace plan we ended up getting with no subsidies is $1600 monthly for the one Florida Blue PPO that's available, we got like a $400 subsidy which is probably going away in January. Any ideas are appreciated.
