So yeah I'm getting old, and so are my eyes, but I refuse to quit. I wear safety glasses with 2x magnification and they work well 90% of the time. Once in a while I need to see up close, like 3x magnification, but only for a few seconds at a time, and then I can switch back to 2x. For a while I was using those glasses that have a diopter at the bottom, so most of the lens is 1x and the bottom is 3x. But that still left me trying to see the stuff I could usually see at 2x. I can't seem to find safety glasses that are 2x upper / 3x lower. Also, having to tip my head back to use the diopter was really a pain in the ass most of the time. Then I tried wearing regular 2x safety glasses and kept a pair of 3x on my belt in a little belt case. But even the supposedly hard glasses case got destroyed after a few weeks of ordinary work. So I ordered a pair of [clip&flip magnifiers](https://www.amazon.com/Carson-Power-Magnifying-Diopters-OD-14/dp/B004HW6CBS/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2XI7Z6EYFA1DA&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.SgXZ88U4EjhOGj062KeIwVNa0HbPhSw1EfTpg27AVcjKER8hMjeLfmmyqc-tLaS5pr_m4YSp3yEEhtwKqJMEnmEUfawhmM_dIDmcBAshyILOB4c6_Y1QkkoRUzJYzOFWTtlvQcux0Ap0DwobWT5fPAtVSzynNhktafoRivuAn6OIt4HBzYoDN6Px7RCZRYO_OfRR6OetjIT57j6_-_cgfnyqg8O32fZz5tD9oXPBJbCjn6obHbR6DIv6rD_eZVKaNuoyHWH2M0OducgQqxWVsoj99teBvQ4tfh9gVJ55QrY.Wzeqv_Y4YpvpAGUaT-QPnzEO6kRaJI8kMejf3UveCgU&dib_tag=se&keywords=carson%2Bclip%2Band%2Bflip%2B2x%2Bpower%2Bmagnifying%2Blens%2Bod-14&qid=1761516096&sprefix=carson%2Bclip%2Band%2Bflip%2Bmagni%2Caps%2C732&sr=8-1&th=1). Let's see how well they work. I predict they will fall off my glasses frequently because the clip doesn't seem very robust. But who knows, maybe they'll work. Question is, how do you deal with this problem? Any of you old fuckers come up with a really good solution? Or do you just rely on memory to fill the gaps? Any worthwhile advice is welcome.
