Location: Minnesota Hi, so I almost lost the entire tip of my finger to the 3rd party company deposit safe at my job and I believe i’m within my rights to sue for damages and negligence? I was stuck with my finger in the safe, nearly broken and bleeding, for about 15 minutes. Fire dept and EMTs came and I went and spent 6 hours in the ER. I got my worker’s comp figured out but everyone is telling me I should look into suing the company that owns and operates our safe. There is no safety warnings or E-release of the door and I very nearly lost part of my body inside it. I am young and uneducated in this field, but I really would like to look into pursuing a lawsuit. This was horribly traumatizing for me and my coworkers present, and a district-wide warning was sent out about my injury the following day. Sorry for the text wall, but any advice or steps on where to start would be so helpful, I’m also able to answer any other questions about details that may be relevant to this. Thank you!! (I labeled this as personal injury, i think that’s best way to describe it but apologies if i’m wrong lol)
