Hey everyone, I’ve worked in the signage industry for over a decade — 12-hour days installing boards, banners, and vinyls for other companies. Recently, the owners started cutting my pay, delaying invoices, and squeezing every dollar until some jobs weren’t even breaking even. I decided it’s time to stop building someone else’s dream and finally build my own. The tough part is, I’m doing all this while caring for my partner, who’s battling an inoperable bone tumour and can’t work due to treatment. Between long signage shifts and driving Uber at night, I’m just trying to make ends meet while taking a leap of faith toward independence. I set up a GoFundMe to raise the setup costs for my own small signage business — printer, laminator, materials, and workspace. If you’d like to read my story or offer any advice, here’s the link: https://gofund.me/40099faf9 I’m not after handouts — I’m after a start. Any feedback, share, or support means the world.
