Every time I try to look for government tenders in Canada it honestly feels like I have to take on a second job. There are so many different portals and none of them are easy to use. The websites look outdated, the search barely works, and half the time I end up scrolling through pages of tenders that have nothing to do with my business. By the time I finally find something that might actually fit, I feel like I’ve wasted hours. And of course the big companies have whole teams who do this for them, so they always have a head start. For smaller businesses it feels like we are set up to fail before we even get a chance. What bugs me the most is that it does not need to be this complicated. Small businesses could absolutely compete and deliver value, but the way the system is structured it just keeps feeding the same contractors over and over again. It feels outdated and closed off instead of fair and open. Does anyone else run into this or is it just me?
