Hey everyone, I'm a developer and I'm always trying out new things, learning new skills, personally I don't like to pay hundreds / thousands on a "Online course" that will teach me everything I need to know, I like to learn as I go on the subject. But I do have some struggles along the way : **Always switching my interest on something new:** I'm constantly starting new things—learning Rust or C# or whatever, practicing DJing, getting better at climbing, or new sports with some friends. The problem is, I find it difficult to stick to one thing long enough to see real progress. And sometimes it's hard to stay motivated, even though I was excited in the beginning. **Lack of a personal progress marker:** Even when I'm learning, I never really know where I stand. I can't say, "I'm 40% of the way to becoming proficient at this," or "I've mastered the fundamentals and now I need to focus on X or Y". I just feel like I'm moving forward without a clear sense of my own skill level. I believe this is a common issue for people in our space who are naturally curious and ambitious. I'm exploring an idea for a micro-SaaS to help with this, and I'd love to know if my pain points resonate with some of you. **What is your biggest struggle when learning a new skill?** I've listed below some that I think might be common. Feel free to upvote the ones you agree with and share your own in the comments. 1. **Overwhelm:** I want to learn so many things at once that I end up not making significant progress on any of them. 2. **Lack of a clear roadmap:** I don't know what the best "next step" is, so I feel lost and eventually give up. 3. **Feeling of stagnation:** I've hit a plateau and don't know what to do to get to the next level of proficiency. 4. **No good way to track progress:** I can't see how far I've come, which makes it hard to stay motivated. Looking forward to your thoughts and seeing if this is a shared struggle. Thanks for your help!
