Location: United Kingdom I bought a 20 plate Vauxhall on the first of may. The day after I bought it, it began to have issues such as; loosing power, tire pressure sensor, refusing to go into gear, kicking out of gear and juddering. I took it in to be fixed in the first week. They had it for a day and claimed they fixed it. Yet on the drive home it became apparent they hadn’t fixed a thing. Brought it back to them at their next available date (28th) and they had it till the 18th August. They replaced the catalytic converter, gearbox, tire pressure sensor and a few other things. I’ve not had it for very long since being ‘fixed’ but immediately after the car is still loosing power and going in limp mode for up to 20 seconds which isn’t great when you’re pulling off a roundabout and suddenly the fastest you can go is 10mph. I’ve contacted them again and it’s going back in on Wednesday 1st. They said it hopefully won’t take as long to fix as last time. But they said I may need to pay for these repairs( haven’t paid up to this point) and I’m honestly fed up with this car and all it’s problems, I got a new car as my old car was falling apart yet had less issues than this newer car. I’ve put in a complaint with the finance company and quoted the consumer rights act 2015 and was advised to contact the motor ombudsman as well, but on their website it states you can’t open a complaint if you already have one open? Is there anything else I can do or say to them when I take it in to either return the car and get my money back, ensure i don’t have to pay for the repairs or get compensation for all of this. They have screwed me over at every opportunity and didn’t even transfer ownership of the car I part exchanged with them and got a Speeding offence in the mail for whoever they sold the car too which I now have to deal with and prove it wasn’t me. Any advice is appreciated!! Thank you for reading.
