I have worked for my employer now for 6 months and apart of the contract it states that I will get a $2 raise once I completed the training and was "found proficient"(exact wording from contract). I completed the training and did my performance review at 3 months. They gave me a couple items to work on but no talk about the pay increase. I submitted my hours to get paid the week after the review and disclosed that this was the start of the pay increase and then my co-worker/ direct supervisor told me that they were not going to give it as I was not perfect yet. I have worked hard to make these mistakes not happen and really have not happened since and now at 6 months 3 months after I feel like I should be getting a pay increase. I asked when submitting my payroll again when I would receive it ( first time actually asking when I will get it) they have told me that "the increase in pay is directly tied to performance, and since there has still been a few issues, the leadership team is not comfortable yet increasing that pay until we feel the quality is what we need". What steps should I take as I like my job but feel like I deserve the pay increase since I am doing EVERYTHING they have asked and more. Is the contract null and void now since it has not been fulfilled? Location: Idaho
