I am in bit of a weird situation, and hope someone can help with it Canadian citizen, living in the UK at the moment on the Working holiday visa. However, I’m planning to move back to Canada next month, and apply for a D8 visa. I have a criminal record certificate from ACRO (in the UK). However, what document should I submit to ‘confirm by fiscal residence in Canada’? I have been a UK resident since early 2024, but have had fully functional bank accounts in Canada since I moved to the UK. Additionally, do they keep the passport with them when the application is in process? I remember them telling me that I do not need to submit my passport should I decide to apply for the working holiday visa in Portugal. I have been trying to call/email them, but to no avail. Thanks for your help.
