I’m building **Worklane Flow**, a lightweight layer that drafts proposals on lead engagement, schedules email inside business hours, auto-runs follow-ups that pause on reply, adds payment links to invoices, and queues GST tasks. Target users: freelancers and small service teams who lose 5–10 hours/week to admin. What we learned so far: * Opinionated defaults beat DIY logic trees for most users. * “Send inside business hours” is the quickest visible win. * Reply-aware follow-ups reduce accidental double-pings. A simple playbook to start: 1. Pick one trigger: lead clicked proposal or invoice 3 days past due. 2. Add one guardrail: business hours + auto-pause on any reply. 3. Keep one safety: a daily digest of tomorrow’s sends with a cancel button. 4. Start with one default template per step. 5. Measure one metric: hours saved per week. If <2 in week one, simplify. We’re opening a free beta for the first 100–200 users.
