Man I feel this pain. There was a time when I had a notes section with 100+ startup ideas A word doc set up with steps to build - features -ICO - GTM ect. Had 100s Then I’d start building prototypes only to realize it was bigger than I thought if I wanted it to be good So I stopped Went deep instead of wide Shallow small ideas seem like easy wins, but they take just as much time and effort to build and then manage. I learned that it’s not the idea that matters it’s the market the idea lives in. TAM became king Gave a North Star worth pursuing I think that’s most people’s problem Giving up doesn’t have real consequences When you’re playing in a small field you can justify it by saying “it wasn’t going to change my life anyways” You’re only in research hell if it’s an idea not worth pursuing, once you find the idea worth your time you will never feel like you’re in hell. Don’t hear what I’m not saying, you’ll still have bad days and burnout. But you’ll push through because your North Star is clear. Only build a product worth building I’ve built 2 businesses in the physical world that do over 1M in sales If I’m honest, neither satisfy the North Star That’s why I’m in Reddit. lol (crazy I know) Diving into SaaS to try and solve bigger problems Looking for like minded people for greater impact. Keep moving forward But next step you take into production should be on something you really believe in Goodluck! Oh - shameless plug myEisen dot com is what I’m building
