Not having this “WOB” time is what led me to be unable to scale my operations as a service business to where it should be. Ironically, my entire core of what i do, is get into businesses, and take over operations so the founders can spend more time working on the business , while I’m working in their businesses! In my efforts to ensure my 2-3 clients for whom I’m running ops for, do not suffer, I did not focus on finding more clients for myself or fine tuning my service etc., I’m changing all that now, hiring people to fulfil my service before even I take on more clients. I already know my systems - 2 hours a day of strategising. One of my objectives is to “drive business forward through new initiatives” and I will add new initiatives every quarter. Maybe this isn’t exactly the answe you’re looking for but systems is what is needed. Give ourselves clear objectives on WOB time and set clear outcomes that need to come out of that. Only then will we do it. There are a 100 different things to do otherwise.
