Absolutely, as a business owner that started out handling everything, it is always a difficult process to transfer responsibilities I dot. Actually need to be a part of, regardless of them being automated or just delegated. My greatest strength in building my business became my biggest weakness in growing it. A one man show has nothing but chaos as a process, and there is no way to effectively train someone in chaos. So in order to delegate I have to hit a bumpy period where I retrain myself in a process so that it can be delegated properly. Finding the time and patience to do that when you are juggling everything else is a nightmare, but necessary in order to free oneself to handle the bigger picture. I need to know where my hands should be and retrain myself to keep them there. For example, there may have been a time where I could have hired someone like you, not because I couldn’t do everything you can do, but because it would have helped me to be accountable to a scheduled change in process. Sometimes as a consultant, you’ll run into business owners that has such a wide set of skills and talents, your sales pitch is to support them in what they know they need to do rather than mold their system.
