Client onboarding used to take me hours of prep work, most of it was just me scrambling to research their competitors and figure out what creative angles to pitch them, I felt like I was winging it every single time. The real issue was I had no system for competitor research, like I'd scroll through facebook ad library for hours, take screenshots, save links, then when the actual kickoff call happened boom, I just have this messy folder of random ads with no organization or strategy behind it. A friend recommended that I just throw competitor ads into foreplay as I found them, now when I'm onboarding someone new I just pull up the relevant board, it makes me look way more prepared than I actually am haha. I like that lol That cut my onboarding prep and that time savings alone let me take on 4 more clients without burning out or needing to hire someone, still have bandwidth for a couple more if the right clients come along. So I thought it might be useful for people in similar situations :)
