During Covid, we bought an answering machine. Without fail, the 45 minute limit would be taken up every single day with a few long rambling messages, and no way to contact the customer. Keep in mind, the answering machine was only used when we were not at the store. We spent all of Covid remodeling, repainting, repairing small projects. We were not allowed to be open to the public, but we were still there every single day from 9 AM till 6 PM. we have consultants and efficiency, experts, contact us pretty often. Most of them are surprised we have already tried all of their suggestions, and none of them have helped. I think a lot of small businesses are contacted by people that usually deal with an office cubicle business model and it doesn’t translate over. multiple app developers have offered to build us an app for pricing. So far, not a single developer could get one labor and time calculation to work correctly. And we have hundreds of prices on labor repairs. People make fun of us calculating things on a yellow legal pad, but for us it just works.
