I learned this the hard way scaling my real estate company. On paper, everything was growing (more hires, more deals, more revenue, more tools) But instead of freedom, I was burning out. I kept thinking the answer was the next hire or the next tool that would “fix” the business. What I didn’t see was that the real problem wasn’t the business. It was me. My identity was wired around chasing volume at all costs. Every hire just bent the business further out of shape.
