So I bought a 3D printer Star Wars suit off of Etsy. Cost $500 plus ~$150 shipping. The post said it “would fit average person 5’8”-6’2” of average weight”. I’m 5’10” 200lbs. 34/36 waist size in pants. When it got here there were a few items broken. Everything from the midsection/waist down wouldn’t fit due to being exceptionally small. I’m talking barely would fit someone that’s 140 lbs. Some pieces I doubt would fit someone with a shoe size bigger than 6. The seller is saying I could just superglue the broken things, and for the small things I’d have to buy one of his other listings of just the legs and scale the size up some for another $100 plus $90 shipping. If I sent the parts back he’d discount it. This would put me out another $200+ including my shipping costs. To me, I feel like this is not my fault. So i feel as though I shouldn’t have to buy $200 worth of more stuff. So I offered that I would rather just return all but the helmet piece for a refund, minus the price of a helmet, and I’d pay for shipping back. OR he send new pieces of those that don’t fit and I’d pay for shipping back for the ones I have. If seller doesn’t like either of these options I plan to open a Etsy customer support case. Does this seem like a fair deal that I offered?
